Marching Band Camp 2007
Please note that in order to march in the first show and be eligible to receive your tuition waiver, you must attend the 2007 Marching Band Camp. Begin planning ahead now so that you will be able to attend all camp sessions.
Our pre-season band camp rehearsal times are especially important due to our limited rehearsal schedule once classes begin. Please arrange your work schedule so you can attend all pre-season rehearsals. In order to be in the first halftime and pre-game show you must attend all rehearsals. As is the case during the school year, work does not constitute an excused absence. If you are from a neighbor island or mainland and unable to attend these rehearsals, please contact us immediately. When classes begin our regular rehearsal schedule is from 3:45 PM - 5:15 PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

All members should reference the enclosed order form. As was the case last year, please be aware of the hat and flip folder portion of the order form. Our UH Marching Band cap is a required part of the uniform in the stands. Flip folders are required at all rehearsals. If you do not own a flip folder, order one!
Important Uniform Information:
- Black Shoes (Black shoes MUST be purchased through the Band Office - other black shoes will not be acceptable. Please see attached order form.)
- Band T-Shirt (This shirt MUST be worn at all game day rehearsals and underneath the uniform. There will be times when we play in the stands without the jacket. This shirt, along with our hat, ensures that we all look uniform.) Note: For returning members this is the same t-shirt as last year, however, if your shirt has seen better days, please order a new one.
- New members: (Our "informal" uniform for pep band and pep rallies, on campus events is our green golf shirt with black "creased" pants and black shoes. The golf shirt may be attached via the attached order form.
Your order form is due to the band office by Friday, July 20, 2007.
Music Pick up and Instrument Check out
Music packet pickup and school owned instrument check out is set for the following dates and times: Wednesday, August 8 from 3 to 6 pm and Thursday, August 9 from 3 to 6 pm

Please keep this letter, order form, and 2007 season schedule for reference throughout the season. Also, as a reminder, the course number for marching band is MUS 419E - Marching Band. If you know of anyone who is interested in becoming a member of the UH Rainbow Warrior Marching Band please let us know or have them call me at 956-8091.
